Lone Star Animal Hospital in Magnolia, Texas is a full service veterinary hospital. It is our commitment to provide quality veterinary care throughout the life of your pet. Our services and facilities are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young, healthy pets; early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages; and complete medical and surgical care as necessary during his or her lifetime. The facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, surgical suite, digital x-rays, in-house lab work, and indoor boarding kennels.
Appointments and Protocols
Patients are seen primarily by pre-scheduled appointments. Drop off appointments are available depending on doctors schedule.
Although every effort is made to see your pet at its scheduled time, we appreciate your understanding should a medical emergency arise and be given top priority.
All new clients must provide proof of a current Rabies vaccination for pets over 4 months, or, as required by law, Lone Star Animal Hospital will vaccinate at the time of the appointment.
All pets must be examined by a Lone Star Animal Hospital veterinarian every 12 months in order to continue receiving prescription medication. Some medications also require monitoring blood work done every 6-12 months.
All pets must have proof of a heartworm test every 12 months to continue receiving prescription heartworm prevention.
Emergency & Urgent Care
While Lone Star Animal Hospital generally sees patients by appointment time, emergencies do arise.
Our staff is trained and equipped to handle emergencies and urgent care needs such as snake bites, hit by car, or consumption of foreign objects.
If you feel your pet needs to be seen by a veterinarian for an emergency situation, please do NOT hesitate to call us immediately. We will advise you how to approach the situation.
Even if your pet does not have an emergency but still needs to be seen as soon as possible even though you do not have an appointment scheduled, please call our office.
Our team members will help to work you in around the pre-existing schedule to ensure your pet receives the best possible care for their situation.

Lone Star Animal Hospital accepts payment in the form of cash, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express.
Unfortunately at this time we are unable to accept Care Credit or Checks as forms of payment at this time.
To ensure Lone Star Animal Hospital can continue to provide our best medical technologies and medications, we request that payments be made at the time that services are rendered to you.
We do not offer payment plans at this time for any service.
House call services are to have payment authorized prior to the doctor’s arrival to your home.
