Dr. Kathy Martin

Practice Owner

Dr.Martin earned both a Biomedical Science degree in 1988 and a DVM in 1993 from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. She has practiced in small animal and emergency clinics in the Houston/Magnolia area before opening LSAH in 2008. Dr. Martin lives in Magnolia and has three sons; Noah, Kyle, and Cole. Her beloved husband and fellow TAMU veterinarian passed away in October of 2020 after a 4 year battle with cancer.

Devon

Office Manager & Lead Client Service Representative

With over two decades of experience in the veterinary field, Devon is an essential part of our clinic’s daily operations. She earned her business degree from Sam Houston State University in 2008 and has been working alongside Dr. Martin since 2004, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. A true animal lover, Devon shares her home in the Lake Conroe area with her beloved French Bulldog, Colt, who is often the center of attention at the clinic. She also owns a horse, Princess Fiona, and is a dedicated competitor in the horse show circuit. Her passion, expertise, and commitment make her an invaluable part of our team!

Aimee - LVT

Licensed Veterinary Technician & Practice Manager

Aimee has been an indispensable part of our clinic family since 2012, bringing an impressive wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience to the team. With a career in the veterinary field that spans both the US and the UK, she’s honed her skills since 2006, making her a versatile and well-rounded professional. Aimee holds a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and Biochemistry from Sam Houston State University, along with an Associate in Veterinary Technology, and her dedication to ongoing learning is unwavering. In January 2024, Aimee achieved a significant milestone by obtaining her Texas Veterinary Technician license, a testament to her commitment to excellence in animal care. Her passion for staying ahead of the curve in the ever-evolving world of animal health drives her to continuously update her knowledge and skills. Outside of work, Aimee and her husband, Ash, are busy raising their growing family, including their first child, born in early 2021, and twins, who arrived in late 2024. In her downtime, she enjoys crafting and spending time with her three dogs and cat. Aimee’s passion for animals, combined with her knowledge and dedication, makes her an invaluable part of our team.

Priscilla - CVA

Kennel Manager & Certified Veterinary Assistant

Priscilla joined our team at the end of summer 2020, and her kind nature and natural ease with animals have allowed her to excel as our Lead Kennel Supervisor. Her dedication to providing the best care for our patients and her drive to constantly improve her skills make her an invaluable part of our team. Priscilla recently became a Certified Veterinary Assistant (CVA 1) and is already on the path to earning additional levels of certification. She is now enrolled in Penn Foster’s Veterinary Technology program and hopes to obtain her Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) license in the future. We are so proud of her commitment to advancing her veterinary career and can’t wait to see all she accomplishes! Priscilla lives in Magnolia with her husband and daughters, and we are grateful to have her as part of our Lone Star family!

Rebecca

Kennel Attendant & Technician Assistant

Rebecca joined our team in the summer of 2022, and we have been so lucky to have her as part of our Lone Star family. Graduating as valedictorian of her class, Rebecca has always had a deep love for animals and has been pursuing a degree in Animal Science at Texas A&M. We are beyond proud to share that she has now been accepted into Texas A&M’s Veterinary School and will be starting her veterinary degree in the fall of 2025! When she’s not busy with school or caring for our Lone Star fur babies, Rebecca enjoys catching up on her much-deserved sleep and spending time with her brother. We will miss her daily smile but cannot wait to welcome her back in the future as a veterinarian! Congratulations, Rebecca! 🎉

Thea

Client Service Representative

Thea joined our front office team in 2022 and has been an invaluable part of our Lone Star family ever since. With nearly a decade of experience in the veterinary field since starting in June 2015, she brings a wealth of knowledge, compassion, and expertise to our front desk. Her warm and welcoming personality ensures that every pet and their owner feel right at home from the moment they walk through our doors. Originally from Central New York, Thea made the big move to Texas in 2022 and has embraced the Lone Star State as her new home. When she’s not helping clients and their pets, she loves spending quality time with her husband, two daughters, and their lively menagerie of animals—including four dogs, two cats, two snakes, two birds and a fish! We’re so lucky to have Thea on our team, and we appreciate all she does to keep things running smoothly!

Savannah

Kennel Attendant

Savannah joined our kennel team in 2024 and has been a wonderful addition to our Lone Star family. With a passion for animal care, she is working toward her goal of becoming a veterinary technician. She is currently enrolled at Lone Star College, where she is pursuing a degree in Applied Veterinary Technology. When she’s not caring for our boarding pets, Savannah loves spending her free time with her horse, Cisco. We’re excited to support her on her journey in the veterinary field and can’t wait to see all she accomplishes!

Chase

Veterinary Technician

Chase joined our team in the summer of 2024 and has been a valuable part of our animal care family ever since. He holds a degree in Veterinary Technology and is currently working toward obtaining his Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification. Passionate about providing top-notch care to every patient, Chase is dedicated to making pets feel comfortable and loved during their visits. When he’s not at the hospital, he enjoys snowboarding. We’re lucky to have Chase on our team!

Amanda

Kennel Attendant & Veterinary Assistant

Amanda joined our team in 2024 and is a dedicated member of our kennel team, bringing her lifelong passion for animals to the clinic every day. Whether caring for our boarding pets or ensuring they feel safe and loved, she treats every animal as if they were her own. At home, Amanda stays busy with her wonderful family—she has been married for 20 years and is a proud mom to three boys (ages 11, 9, and 7). Her love for animals extends beyond work, as she shares her home with two beloved dogs—a Great Dane named Moose and a Boxer named Harley—as well as a pet pig named Molly. In addition to her work with animals, Amanda is an accomplished scholar, already holding two degrees and currently pursuing a law degree. Her dedication and hardworking spirit inspire us all, and we’re lucky to have her as part of our team!

Emily

Kennel Attendant

Emily became part of our team in late 2024 and has been a fantastic addition to our boarding and kennel staff. She is dedicated to ensuring that all our boarding pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for during their stay. From providing plenty of love and attention to keeping the kennels clean and cozy, Emily goes above and beyond to make every pet feel at home. We’re so glad to have Emily caring for our furry guests!

Dr. Dan Simpson

In Memory

Dr. Simpson earned his doctoral degree in Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1983. Dr. Simpson owned his own practice in Houston for 27 years, but decided to work together with his wife, Dr. Kathy Martin in 2018. Dr. Martin and Dr. Simpson were married for 27 years and have three sons together.

Update: Unfortunately, Dr. Simpson lost his 4 year battle with cancer on Oct 22nd 2020. He will be greatly missed here at the practice and within his community.
