Dr. Kathy Martin

Practice Owner

Dr.Martin earned both a Biomedical Science degree in 1988 and a DVM in 1993 from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. She has practiced in small animal and emergency clinics in the Houston/Magnolia area before opening LSAH in 2008. Dr. Martin lives in Magnolia and has three sons; Noah, Kyle, and Cole. Her beloved husband and fellow TAMU veterinarian passed away in October of 2020 after a 4 year battle with cancer.

Devon

Office Manager & Lead Client Service Representative:

Devon graduated in 2008 from Sam Houston State University with a degree in business. Devon has been working in the veterinary field since 2000 and has been with Dr. Martin since 2004. She is an integral part of the day to day function of the clinic and is involved in all daily activities of the clinic. She currently lives in the Lake Conroe area with french bulldog, Colt. She also owns a horse, Princess Fiona and is an active member of competitive horse shows.

Aimee

LVT

Aimee has been an invaluable part of the clinic since 2012 and continues to bring a solid background of knowledge and experience. She has worked in the veterinary field both in the US and UK since 2006. She holds a degree in Animal Science and Biochemistry from Sam Houston State University and an Associates in Veterinary Technology. Having completed her VTNE to pursue her LVT license to make her passion for animals her life long career she continues to strive towards staying up to date on the latest in animal health. Aimee and her husband, Ash, welcomed their first child in early 2021 and are now expecting their second child in the fall 2024. In her free time she enjoys crafting and playing with her three dogs and cat.

Priscilla CVA

Kennel Manager & Veterinary Technician

Priscilla joined our team the end of summer 2020. Her kind nature and ease with all animals, has allowed her to accel as the lead kennel supervisor at Lone Star Animal Hospital. With her desire to constantly improve her skills and knowledge we are excited to see her continue to grow in her veterinary career. She recently became a certified veterinary assistant (CVA 1) and is already on the road to pursuing the additional levels of certification. Priscilla lives in Magnolia with her husband and daughters.

Rebecca

Kennel Attendant and Technician Assistant

Rebecca joined our team in the summer of 2022. Graduating as valedictorian of her class, Rebecca has a love for animals and is pursuing a degree in Animal Science.When not busy with her school work or caring for our Lone Star fur babies, Rebecca enjoys catches up on her much deserved sleep and enjoys spending time with her brother. She has now been accepted to Texas A&M and will be applying to vet school next year. We will miss her daily smile but look forward to her return as a veterinarian!

Thea

Client Service Representative

Thea, who joined our front office staff in 2022 has been an invaluable addition. She has been in the veterinary field since June 2015 and continues to bring a great foundation of knowledge to our front desk. She is originally from Central New York and moved to Texas in 2022. She loves spending her free time with husband, 2 daughters, 3 dogs, 2 cats, and snake.

Dr. Dan Simpson

In Memory

Dr. Simpson earned his doctoral degree in Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1983. Dr. Simpson owned his own practice in Houston for 27 years, but decided to work together with his wife, Dr. Kathy Martin in 2018. Dr. Martin and Dr. Simpson were married for 27 years and have three sons together.

Update: Unfortunately, Dr. Simpson lost his 4 year battle with cancer on Oct 22nd 2020. He will be greatly missed here at the practice and within his community.

Lexi

Kennel Attendant

Lexi joined our kennel department in 2023 and is working towards her goal of becoming a veterinary technician. She is enrolled at Lone Star College to pursue her degree in applied veterinary technology. We are excited to see her through her journey to becoming an LVT! In her free time Lexi enjoys painting and drawing and her subject most commonly depicted is her chihuahua, Ducky.

Savannah

Kennel Attendant

Savannah joined our kennel department in 2024 and is working towards her goal of becoming a veterinary technician. She is enrolled at Lone Star College to pursue her degree in applied veterinary technology. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her horse Cisco.

Dustin

Kennel Attendant

Dustin joined our kennel department in 2024. Dustin is cross trained in both kennel and assisting. You may not see him up front often as he is constantly working behind the scenes and is a valuable member of the team.

Lynn

Kennel Attendant

After working for a busy boarding kennel, Lynn is our newest team member. She brings years of experience in boarding care and is excited to be able to provide more one on one personal care.
